Happy Monday!
The thing that always excites me about Monday is an opportunity to start again. It’s not that somehow we came to some finality on Sunday, but it feels like a fresh slate to not repeat the same mistakes from last.
There’s no harm in mistakes. The only harm is in repeating the same mistakes - not reflecting on them to make progress. Psychologists have said when we make mistakes the lasting response is positive unless the cognitive creates a bias that equates to failure. Mistakes aren’t a failure, but as Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
We’re only wrong when we’re too proud to learn.
Whatever our goals are, there’s someone we can ask when we don’t know the answer. The internet can show us how to do almost anything. We can study someone who is doing something that we’d like to do. We can also be open to making the mistakes needed to get it right.
In the meantime. It’s Monday, so Rave On!
